What Does Happiness Mean To Me

What Does Happiness Mean

When we treat happiness as a finish line, we inadvertently turn our lives into a lifelong chase fueled by a misunderstanding of its true source. Most of us are conditioned to look outward, caught in a "death spiral" of achievement where we believe the next promotion, purchase, or accolade will finally grant us lasting peace. This creates a never-ending cycle of "doing" rather than "being," leaving us exhausted by an illusion. To break this habit, we must stop using external milestones or other people as our primary fuel and instead learn to live where our feet are. By practicing gratitude for the present moment and realizing that achievement is fleeting, we shift the focus from a frantic external pursuit to a steady internal growth. True, long-lasting happiness isn't something you catch; it's something you cultivate from within.
